In december 2002 is in de Internationale Maritieme Organisatie (IMO) een internationale standaard ontwikkeld voor een betere beveiliging van zeeschepen en havenfaciliteiten: de zogeheten "ISPS Code". ISPS staat voor "International Ship and Port Security Code" (Internationale scheeps- en havenveiligheidsregelgeving). De Europese Unie heeft de eisen overgenomen in een speciale verordening en Nederland heeft de eisen opgesteld in de nieuwe Havenbeveiligingswet. Vanaf 1 juli 2004 gelden deze strenge maritieme veiligheidseisen voor zeeschepen en haventerminals.

Dit betekent dat bedrijven met een terminal of een laad- en loskade, een beveiligingsplan moeten maken op basis van een risicoanalyse. Sagro beschikt over een goedgekeurd beveiligingsplan. Hierin is onze beveiliging nauwkeurig omschreven, personeel wordt getraind en er is een veiligheidsofficier aangewezen. Al deze afspraken zijn vastgelegd in het zogeheten PFSP (Port Facility Security Plan).

ISPS (ENG)

In December 2002, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) developed an international standard for improved security of seagoing vessels and port facilities: the so-called "ISPS Code". ISPS stands for "International Ship and Port Security Code". The European Union has adopted the requirements in a special regulation and the Netherlands has drawn up the requirements in the new Port Security Act. As of 1 July 2004, these strict maritime security requirements apply to seagoing vessels and port terminals.

This means that companies with a terminal or a loading and unloading quay must make a security plan based on a risk analysis. Sagro has an approved security plan. This describes our security in detail, staff is trained and a security officer is appointed. All these agreements are laid down in the so-called PFSP (Port Facility Security Plan).
